OASIS
What does it mean?
(n) 1: a fertile or green area in an arid region (such as a desert)
(n) 2: something that provides refuge, relief, or pleasant contrast. (M.W Dictionary)
Names are important. Whether in history, the Bible, or your own family tree, names play a very important role in the lives of humans. At Oasis our name is important, because it describes who the Lord has called us to be, not just as a church, but as a network of churches

ABOUT OASIS GRANGER
Lucas and his wife, Krissy, have been involved with the Oasis Network for Churches (OasNet) since 2001. During that time, Lucas first served as the youth pastor of Oasis-Wauseon, and currently serves as both President of OasNet and Senior Pastor of Oasis Christian Fellowship of Granger. Lucas said, “I never thought we would end up back in Granger. Although I grew up here, moving back to Granger to live just didn’t seem like an option. But now, as I look back, I can’t imagine pastoring anywhere else. God definitely knew what He was doing when He sent us back home.”
Since 2001, Krissy Miles has been standing beside Lucas in marriage and in ministry. She has brought with her into the equation a deep love of people, a strong gift of leadership, and a superb attention to detail. Much more than a pastor’s wife, Krissy regularly leads small groups at Oasis and also oversees the finances for both Oasis Granger and OasNet. Additionally, Krissy teaches foreign language (German) at a local middle school.
Multitalented still falls short of describing Jaime. Since 2005, Jaime has been part of the Oasis team leading worship, and overseeing the children’s ministry (God’s Kids) and nursery. Before coming to Oasis, Jaime graduated from Bethel College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. After her time in college, Jaime spent a year abroad in Switzerland. Recently, Jaime’s talent in songwriting has produced two of our favorite worship songs, This New Life and All Honor.
Becky Gritton joined the Oasis team in 2005 after return from Spain near the Mediterranean, working with immigrants from other countries. Becky oversees the women’s ministry at Oasis Granger and is very excited about seeing people grasp their importance to God and receiving life by understanding their identity in Christ. She is the women’s life group leader. Additionally, Becky works with the Oasis Network serving in the area of Pastoral Relations, helping to keep open lines with the pastor’s oversees. She also utilizes her fluency in Spanish in order to assist OasNet pastors and ministries in Latin America.
Lindsey Blackford defines “team player”. As part of the staff at Oasis-Granger, she exhibits a constant desire to serve the team and the church in any way that she can. Her areas of specialty include God’s Kids, creating the Oasis News, and acting as the staff administrator. During the day, Lindsey works with children (infant to 5 yr olds) at a local homeless shelter and is also pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. Lindsey has been serving in various church ministries for 6 years.
Though Justin’s official title is Pastoral Assistant, don’t let that fool you. Hardly a paper pusher, Justin is a creative force to be reckoned with. He got an early start in church, dabbling in both ministry and music at the young age of 17. Ever since then his passion for music and ministry has continued to grow. At the age of 21, Justin joined the Oasis staff in 2008 and has since become involved with the music team and also church media team. Throughout the week, Justin manages the affairs of the church office, though his favorite part of the day seems to be lunch.
Ryan Knox has been part of Oasis since Jr. high school. In 2005, as a high school student, Ryan did a short term summer internship at Oasis Granger, helping out with worship and youth ministry. Then after high school, Ryan finally moved from Wauseon, OH to Granger in 2006 in order to help Lucas and Krissy further with the church. Later, in 2007, his high school sweetheart, Brittany, moved out here as well and the two of them were married on August 11, 2007. Ryan helps oversee church activity and large projects. Additionally, Ryan is currently studying business at IUSB.
